What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy involves the injection of Hyaluronic Acid - directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin) to nourish and rejuvenate, promote production of collagen and elastin and stimulate your skin's metabolism.
 

As your skin ages,cells loose water binding molecules and skin becomes dehydrated,  crepy,with lines and wrinkles.  Micro-injections of hyaluronic acid  are used to restore plumpness and volume to areas such as the face,eye area, neck and decolletagePeople who have had mesotherapy describe their skin as looking plumper,hydrated,, radiant, glowing and firmer.

What will happen during the treatment?

Multiple micro-injections using a very fine needle are administered immediately beneath the surface of the skin, directly into the problem area requiring treatment. The aim is to replace the Hyalournic acid that is  lost as we age.

How long does the treatment take?

Treatment time is approximately 30 minutes.

What is the recovery time?

.After the treatment you can normally return to day-to-day activities immediately. You may experience a little swelling, which will settle within 24-48 hours. Although rare,other possible side effects is the appearance of some small bruises which will also resolve within a few days.Treatment around the eye area may cause puffiness and can take 5 days to return to normal.

How often do I need to repeat treatments?

 Typically, the initial treatment course consists of 1- 3 sessions, 1 month apart then once every 6 months for maintenance if required.

Can I have Mesotherapy at the same time as other anti-ageing treatments?

Mesotherapy can be used as an  alternative to other treatments. It  can be used in combination with all other rejuvenation treatments,laser rejvenation, Botulinum Toxin, but also stands on it's own as a powerful anti-ageing therapy.

How safe is Mesotherapy?

Pioneered by the French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, Mesotherapy is now widely used all over the world to treat a wide range of injuries and medical conditions e.g. arthritis, migraines, recurrent ENT infections (sinusitis, rhinitis), asthma, sports injuries (pulled muscles, tendonitis) and chronic pain. Mesotherapy is considered an extremely safe aesthetic treatment.

Does the treatment hurt?

With the use of local anaesthetic, there is a minimal discomfort to non at all.

What aftercare advice is recommended?

• Apply ice packs for first few hours after treatment especially if area around eye is treated
• Avoid make-up for 24 hours.
• Avoid any hot extremes for first few days following treatment
• Avoid using harsh products,scrubs for one week after treatment.
• If having other skin treatments on treatment area,leave minimum 2 weeks between treatments. 

How Long Does It Last?

This varies from client to client depending on the area being treated.If a course of 3 sessions are complete  the effects should last from 12-18 months. Gradually over time  the product and effects will fade.
