The gel adds volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. How long does the treatment take? Treatment with Esthelis is very quick and easy. There is no pre-test needed, the treatment can be carried out immediately. A treatment generally takes 30 minutes.
Is the treatment painful? Most people will find the injections relatively painless. A topical anaesthetic is usually applied 40 minutes prior to the procedure to numb the pain.
When can I see results? The results can be seen immediately and can improve up to a few days post treatment as the product can migrate to where it is required. Because the product also stimulates your own cells, improvement can be seen. Results usually last 6 months. Some clients will require a to up 2 weeks after initial treatment, depending on depth and extent of lines What are the risks? Esthelis is a biodegradable synthetic substance. Therefore there is very low risk of allergic reaction. There is no need for a pre-test as it is not a natural animal based collagen product.
What aftercare advice should I follow? Avoid hot extremes, such as sauna, steam rooms and swimming on day of treatment. Do not touch the area. Avoid make up for 24 hours unless mineral make up. If swelling or bruising occurs, an icepack can be applied on the day of treatment. If you are prone to bruising, arnica can be taken prior to treatment. Avoid using asprin prior and post treatment as it may cause more bruising to occur. Contact the clinic if you have any concerns on 09064 98839.
